Challenge #2 - what is your favorite FLOWER?
here's Chris A (the creators) take on it
Peony

I am going to try this challenge. Maybe not on time for the deadline though.

Ahhh....this is what summer's about

Last weekend we escaped to the lake for a couple days of camping. It was so nice to get away from it all, even if it was only for 3 days. We relaxed in the sun, floating on the lake. The kids played in the water, fished and took turns riding on the jet ski, while we enjoyed the rolling waves we got from the wakes they left behind. It was heaven for me. I already wish we could go back, but I'll have to wait until next year.

It seems like this event marked the point in the summer where "it's all down hill fro here". There is an event marking each weekend until it's back to school and work.

Now I get to look forward to the next thing...the ScrapBook Expo in Santa Clara with Becky! Yay, we'll be taking a Basic Grey class, shopping and staying at the Embassy Suites..ohh..la la. I am super excited about that.

  • I am waiting for the timer to go off which signals an end to the boys video game time for the day

My Baby is 9!!

Gabe turned 9 this year - July 2nd to be exact. He had a great time, we saw the new Transformers movie with his friends, which has become our tradition now I guess. Great movies come out around 4th of July weekend....who knew? Then we went to his favorite new skate park where he practiced riding his new Toy Machine Deck, woowhooo! Followed by pizza and arcade games, what 9 year old could ask for more?

4th of July

The 4th was great. We celebrated with great friends for our 3rd Annual 4th of July BBQ at my friend Becky's parents house. It is so comforting to be surrounded by such wonderful people.

Creative Challenges

I came across a challenge today from Ali Edwards blog archive:

PRODUCT CHALLENGE : Use something you have been hanging on to forever. Rather than reaching for your newest goodies - grab an older product. Maybe it is your favorite older product or maybe it is one that you find as you go through your stash - USE IT.

So that is my challenge for the first scrapbook page I do. I haven't actually created a page for my scrapbook for about a year now, so this is long over due. I will post my layout when I finally do it.

My other challenge is to take "10 Summer Photos" challenge:

So far I have my summer fruit -
Nectarines -These are my summer favorite. I love them crunchy or soft, it doesn't matter to me. Summer=Nectarines!

FREE Jessica Sprague Class

This is my anything spot

Ok, I am new to blogging so bare with me here please.

So I made this so that I can talk about whatever is on my mind at the moment. Also it takes the pressure I was feeling from Facebook to check in so often and update my friends and family about what I'm up to. Now it is their choice, they can choose to see what I'm doing or not. Goodbye Facebook, I'm just not that into you.
